7 Days Prior: If you are taking any blood thinning medication then ideally these should be stopped several days before the procedure, only with your doctor’s consent. Thinner blood will make the area more prone to bruising and bleeding.

3 Days Prior: Avoid any aggressive facial treatments, such as AHA peels. These activities increase blood flow to your face, which can only add to the swelling.

24 Hours Prior: Avoid alcohol before your treatment, alcohol in your system heightens the chance of swelling and bruising.
